Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 10

Week 10 of Fantasy Basketball is almost here. If you are looking for the top waiver wire options you’ve come to the right place. In this piece we will provide a list of free-agent players you need to target in Week 10. Most of the suggestions are available in at least 50% of Yahoo fantasy basketball leagues.

  1. Reggie Bullock (6% owned) – In 10 games from November 9 up to December 1, Reggie Bullock is averaging 12.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steal, 2.6 3-pointers and just 1.0 turnover per game, while shooting 46.7% from the field and 91.7% from the line. In that span before getting injured, Bullock was ranked 87th in standard 9-category H2H. The Detroit Pistons has the most favorable schedule in week 10, wherein they will play 4 games, including match ups against MIL, MIN, CHA and ATL. As of this time, Reggie Bullock is listed as probable vs BOS and i will monitor any updates on him. If he will be available in week 10, he will be a nice stream/add for owners looking for a 3-point specialist.
  2. Allen Crabbe(47% owned) – In the last 4 games before hurting his knee, Allen Crabbe is averaging 17.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steal and a whopping 4.8 3-pointers per game while shooting 48.8% from the field. In that 4 game period, Crabbe is ranked 56th in standard 9-category H2H. The Brooklyn Nets will have a 4-game week 10 and favorable match ups against LAL, CHI, IND and PHO. Allen Crabbe is currently listed as questionable vs ATL. I’ll closely watch any updates on his knee and if he is good to go in week 10, he will be a nice add for managers looking for some boost in points and 3-pointers.
  3. Kevin Huerter (10% owned) – In the last 5 games, Kevin Huerter is averaging 12.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.0 block and 2.6 3-pointers per game. He is also averaging 2.8 turnovers per game but because of his ability to rack up stats across the board he was ranked top 50 in standard 9-category H2H in that stretch. The Atlanta Hawks will only play 3 games in week 10 but they are one of the few teams who have a favorable schedule in the upcoming week including match ups against WAS and NYK. There is also some value in Huerter beyond week 10 so I will add him in any standard leagues if i could.
  4. Kevin Knox (51% owned) – The number 9 overall pick of the 2018 NBA draft is balling. In the last 3 games, Kevin Knox is averaging, 21.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steal, 1.0 block and 3.3 3-pointers per game. He is just shooting 43.6% from the field and 70.0% from the line but he managed to be the top 35 player in standard 9-category H2H in that 3-game period. He averaged 38.7 minutes and just 0.3 turnover in his last 3 games. Week 10 is a nice week for the New York Knicks although they will only play 3 games. They will have favorable match ups against PHO and ATL. I will add Knox in standard leagues and ride him while he’s hot.
  5. Richaun Holmes (24% owned) – The Phoenix Suns is still a mess. They still can’t figure out what to do in trades. Again if i could, i would stay away from the Phoenix Suns players in fantasy basketball. But if you are in a deep league and desperately need some help, you may consider Richaun Holmes. In the last 7 games, he is averaging 11.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 steal and 1.9 blocks while shooting an outstanding 66.7% from the field and 78.9% from the line. He was a sneaky top 59 player in standard 9-category H2H in that span. The Phoenix Suns will be playing 4 games in week 10 and have favorable match ups against NYK and WAS. Richaun Holmes is a per minute beast and I will add him in standard leagues where i need some decent big man stats.

  1. Noah Vonleh (43% owned) – favorable match ups vs PHO and ATL

Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 9

Week 9 of Fantasy Basketball is almost here. If you are looking for the top waiver wire options you’ve come to the right place. In this piece we will provide a list of free-agent players you need to target in Week 9. These suggestions are available in at least 50% of Yahoo fantasy basketball leagues.

  1. J.J. Barea (28% owned) – In the last 7 games, J.J. Barea is averaging 15.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.1 3-pointers and just 1.9 turnovers per game, while shooting 49.4% from the field and 75.0% from the line. In that period, Barea was ranked 97th in standard 9-category H2H. The Dallas Mavericks has the most favorable schedule in week 9, wherein they will play 4 games, including match ups against ATL, PHO and SAC. J.J Barea will be a nice add/stream in week 9 for owners looking for some points and assists.
  2. Terry Rozier (44% owned) – Aside from the Dallas Mavericks, another team that has a very good schedule in week 9 is the Boston Celtics. They will also play 4 games, including match ups against NOR, WAS and ATL. Terry Rozier is one player i will look for if I am in a deep league and want to stream in week 9. In the last 4 games, Rozier is averaging 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.8 3-pointers, while shooting 47.1% from the field and 75.0% from the line. Except against DET, the Celtics will have favorable match ups next week and Rozier could be in line for some great usage and should be a nice stream.
  3. De’Anthony Melton (8% owned) – The Phoenix Suns have been in a mess recently. They just lost there 8th game in a row and they aren’t looking good. If i could, i would stay away with Phoenix Suns in Fantasy Basketball because of the weird rotations that coach Igor Kokoskov is doing lately. But if i’m in a deep league and want to take a chance, i will look for De’Anthony Melton. He is one of the bright spots in the Suns right now. In the last 3 games, Melton is averaging 13.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.0 3-pointers per game while shooting 48.5% from the field and 66.7% from the line. He has a 9th round value in standard leagues in that 3-game period. In case you want to know, Elie Okobo only has a 2oth round value in that same period. The Phoenix Suns will play 4 games in week 9 and Melton is worthy of a speculative add.
  4. Alec Burks (16% owned) – After being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Alec Burks is averaging 14.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 3-pointers and just 1.4 turnovers per game, while shooting 39.3% from the field and 85.7% from the line. In that span, he is ranked 120 in standard 9-category H2H. However, if you are neglecting FG%, Burks is the top 93 player in that same stretch. The Cavs will play 4 games in the upcoming week and Burks could be a nice stream for owners looking for some points and threes.
  5. Nemanja Bjelica (36% owned) – Nemanja Bjelica is a sneaky top 70 player in standard 9-category H2H this year. In 24 games this season, he is averaging 11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.5 3-pointers per game while shooting 54.5% from the field and 75.9% from the line. He started every game this season and did not yield his spot to Marvin Bagley just yet. In week 9, the Sacramento Kings will play 4 games and i could see 2-3 easy match ups where you can use Bjelica in deep leagues.

Week 9 Guide:

14 NBA teams playing 4 games:

Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Washington Wizards

16 NBA teams playing 3 games:

Brooklyn Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves,  Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets

Here are some of the other possible free agents to consider in week 9:

With 4 games:

  1. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (36% owned) – 3-point specialist
  2. Jamychal Green (27% owned) – when JJJ is in foul trouble, Green is a nice play
  3. Thomas Bryant (5% owned) – good source of FG% and Rebs while Dwight Howard is out

With 3 games:

  1. Allen Crabbe (6% owned) – averaging 3.2 3-pointers per game in the last 6 games
  2. Jakob Poeltl (18% owned) – quite good lately as a source of FG%, Blks, and Rebs

Stats are based on standard 9cat H2H. Please also take note that I made this article before the 9 game slate of December 8, 2018 NBA Sched.

Top 5 Players in Fantasy Basketball

AD1

Here are the top 5 players in standard 9cat H2H Fantasy Basketball:

  1. Anthony Davis – He’s still the number 1 player in Fantasy Basketball for me. Not Giannis nor Harden. But AD it is. Damn, i don’t have him in any of my rosters this season. His weakest cat is 3PM but he is averaging at least 1.0 after 3 games. Wow! I hope he stays healthy again this year.
  2. Jimmy Butler – After 3 games he showed he’s the number 1 player in Minnesota. He may be traded and that may change his value. But while he’s still in Wolves uniform you may savor the moment and enjoy his stats. His weakest stat is 3PM making him a very nice fit in punt 3s.
  3. Nikola Jokic – The Joker is tremendous at the start of the season. He even made history against the Suns last October 20 by posting 35-12-11 stats on perfect FG%. Well, of course that is the Suns but Jokic is really good and can really put up double-doubles and triple- doubles. He may have a nice year again and congrats to those who drafted him late in the first round.
  4. Stephen Curry – The Chef started his season very strong. He’s averaging an astounding 30.5 Pts, 5.5 3PM, 5.0 Rebs, 7.8 Asts, 1.3 Stls in 53% FG & 83% FT.  Kevin Durant is just ranked 18th this early. If you drafted KD ahead of Curry, don’t despair. But if you had Curry on your team, good job especially if you got him at a discounted price.
  5. Kyle Lowry – 4-0 for the Raptors. Yes, they are the number 1 team in the east right now. Thanks to Lowry’s amazing stats of 3.8 3PM, 10.0 Asts, and 60% FG shooting. That FG% is unsustainable but he may have a nice year facilitating in offense knowing he has Kawhi in his side. So much drama during pre-season about his anger with management. Probably, this pumped him up leading to a strong start this year.

Here you go guys, these are currently the top 5 players in Fantasy Basketball. Please note that i based this one in standard 9cat H2H. The rankings change of course in other setup. For example, in punt blocks, Stephen Curry is currently Top 1. In 8cat H2H (without TOs), James Harden is ranked #2.
